Summary
In vitro test for the quantitative determination of the unsaturated iron-binding capacity in human serum and plasma on COBAS INTEGRA systems. Direct determination with FerroZine. The color intensity is directly proportional to the unbound excess iron concentration and indirectly proportional to the unsaturated iron-binding capacity. It is determined by measuring the increase in absorbance at
552 nm.
