MUELLER HINTON is a medium for antimicrobial susceptibility testing to antibiotics with the diffusion method. This medium, used at Kirby-Bauer method, has been adopted as the standard method for susceptibility testing by the National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS) in the USA. This medium has low levels of thymine and thymidine and enables the appropriate testing for trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole, which is tested to ensure the correct zone sizes with aminoglycoside and tetracyline antibiotics. The pack contains 10 pieces of 90mm and it it stored at  6-12°C.
